Dear Statalisters,

I am running a series of linear regression models using panel data on
several companies over a period of years. Before the regression is run, I
have 2678 observations (2678 lines of data in the browser). When I run the
first regression, Stata reports number of obs = 819. Why the discrepancy?

I am inclined to think it has something to do with the fact that I have
-tsset- my data, but I'm not very familiar with panel data so any
clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Terra
