Thanks to Kit Baum, the text editors FAQ at

http://fmwww.bc.edu/repec/bocode/t/textEditors.html

has been updated. For the benefit of relatively
new members of the list: this is a collectively
written FAQ by some 32 members of the Stata
community on how to use text editors in conjunction
with Stata. The advice included is especially
appropriate for those tempted to use a word processor
for editing log files, do files and programs,
data files and so forth.

Conversely, there would probably be enormous interest
in an FAQ on interfacing Stata with (e.g.) MS Office
or LaTeX, but somebody else would need to take the
lead on either of those.

The latest changes include a revision of material by
Friedrich Huebler, so thanks to him also.
