In response to Manuela De Allegri's post about testing for trend after
logistic regression, I mentioned -desmat- from John Hendrickx.  Yesterday, I
chance re-encountered another user-written command for coding
contrasts:   -xi3- from Michael Mitchell & Phil Ender.  -xi3-'s help file
reminded me that it, too, can conveniently set up orthogonal-polynomial and
Helmert contrasts, among others--not only three-way interactions.  Apologies
for the oversight in my original post.
