Subject   st: The F or chi2 model statistic has been reported as missing

Hi,

At some circumstances, the regression output shows that F statistics is
missing. The help menu says that " the model that you estimated has its F
or chi2 model statistic reported to be missing. Stata has done that so as
not to be misleading, not because there is something necessarily wrong
with your model".

What actually causes the problem? Is it due to the lack of variation
across some LHS and/or RHS variables? If F statistics for the whole model
is missing, is it valid to report the coefficients?

Many thanks,
Ying
