after upgrade of computer i tried to re-install my favourite stataquest for
stata 7 (that worked at the stata 8 for me before upgrading (and "upgrading"
to windows SP2, too). but now it says
package name: quest1.pkg
checking quest1 consistency and verifying not already installed...
could not copy http://www.stata.com/quest7/quest/d/dtldlg.hlp
(no action taken)
(Might need -update swap- next, I don't remember; follow the directions)
rather than -update all- (which should work ok with subsequent updates).
2. Try again later. Sometimes the Internet is a little flaky and things
that don't work now will work in an hour.
By the way, I like Stataquest too. I understand that there is far less
need for it now that Stata 8 is available, but it still has some nice
unique features I like. I wish it was still being updated to take advantage
of new features that are available in Stata 8.
