Hey, the Boston Red Sox won the "World Series" (of statistical interest: for the first time since 1918)! Now there are those chauvinists that carp that a "World Series" of baseball (a game invented in Her Majesty's former colonies) that only includes teams from US and Canada is a bit more provincial than, say, the "World Cup", but those people have leg before wicket.
