Just a reminder:

no attachments please!

no attachments please!

no attachments please!

Just today we have seen

	one .gph file
	one winmail.dat
	one .vcf, etc.
	one message in HTML, etc.

The rationale here is simple:

1. The majordomo software
running Statalist cannot handle
attachments cleanly. Many members
receive attachments as e-junk.

2. Attachments bloat email
folders and spread viruses.

3. You reduce your chance of
getting a reply if your partly
or completely incomprehensible
posting lands in someone's else
mailbox. Many people discriminate
against others unwilling or unable
to follow the rule of no
attachments.

4. There are plenty of other
reasons, but I don't need to be
comprehensive here, just to remind
you of rules you tacitly agreed to
follow when signing up to Statalist.

Thanks to those who do!

Nick
