But many programmers (other than the estimable Nick Cox) do not provide any textual description of their routine when they send it to me. In those cases, I am inclined to grab the first paragraph of the help file (presuming that it is descriptive) and use that, and make up something for the package definition line FOO: Stata module that trips the light fantastic etc., and keywords. If programmers have preferences for what the title line, description and keywords should say on the SSC Archive, they are invited to include them with their submission or resubmission.
