I am interested in reading a dataset (comma seperated values) where each
block has the same variables of interest for a company organized by
variable. The first line of the bock tells me for which years there are
available obervations. The next ten lines contain one variable each.

If every company had the same number of data, reading it is well covered in
the STATA manual. However, the problem is that for some companies the data
start lated or end earlier or there are gaps. Does anyone know of a way
(except inserting empty columns in Excel) that I can read this dataset?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
