Dear all,

Can any one tell me if it is possible to perform Orthogonal Polynomial Regression parameter estimation in Stata? If possible, how?

Let the data be -
Y X
0.93 1957
0.99 1958
1.11 1959
1.33 1960
1.52 1961
1.60 1962
1.47 1963
1.33 1964
and we want to fit the polynomial of 6th order.

Any response / help / comment / suggestion / idea / web-link / replies will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your time.
