Experiment gives an error message indicating
a limit of 32000 bytes. Elsewhere I've seen
a limit of 32K quoted, a limit of the same order
if 1K means 1024 bytes. So it depends partly on
how long your lines are.
I don't see what this has to do with
your problem of sending a file to a remote site...
