Thomas Brundage relayed a question posted on another list about whether
Stata can populate an Excel spreadsheet.

Yes. Stata can populate an Excel spreadsheet via several of its ODBC suite
of commands. These can be used to automate repetitive population of Excel
spreadsheets for periodic or routine reports.

To find out more, type -help odbc- from within Stata, or look online at
Stata Corp's website ( www.stata.com/help.cgi?odbc ). Also refer to the
users' manual for background information about setting up the ODBC DSN.
Note that the -odbc- suite has been updated and enhanced since publication
of the Release 8 user's manual.
