Thanks to Kit Baum, -distplot- has now been updated
on SSC.

-distplot- (version 8)
======================

-distplot- (also SJ 3-2) is a version 8 program
for cumulative distribution function plots. The update,
apart small changes, principally an extra reference,
in the help file, marks a revision of syntax for an
option previously called -tscale()-, which was for
showing the probability or frequency axis on a specified
transformed scale.

The official update to Stata on 12 Sept 2003 added
a -tscale()- option as a new standard option
for -graph twoway- for using date formats for time
series.

It is possible (although perhaps a little unlikely)
that users might want to use official Stata's -tscale()-
with -distplot-. More important, I don't think it's
good style to use standard option names with quite
different meanings.

Accordingly, the option is now -trscale()-, a name
for which Stata Corp have no known intentions.

To update, please go

. ssc inst distplot, replace

To install for the first time,

. ssc inst distplot

An update will also appear before year end in SJ 3-4.

-distplot7- (version 7)
=======================

A (clone of) a previous version for users of Stata
7 remains in the SSC -distplot- package. It is
unchanged, as users of version 7 clearly are
unaffected by the new official option in Stata 8.
