Well, to borrow a catchline, I've started, so I'll finish: 

I just wrote:

Some software somewhere stripped a circumflex accent from 
the first "e" of "pecheur", thus obliterating the point 
I was trying to make. That will teach me not to try puns 
in French. 

(No Stata point is involved here.)
