Dear Alfonso, As in any tex compilation it is required that after running the source file (.tex file), you run the bibtex once and then run the tex file twice to get the final output with correctly displaced bibliography. For example: step 1: latex main step 2: bibtex main step 3: latex main step 4: latex main I hope this solves your problem. #You wrote: :I hope somebody can help me with the SW3.0 issue (Many thanks to Nick for his rapid response!) Meanwhile I am trying to learn how to use the SJ style using MikTex. I installed MikTex in my computer and the program seems to run ok. However, when compiling the example given (main.tex) I am experiencing some problems. First, I am getting some warnings from natbib and the bibliography items are not displayed correctly in the dvi file –instead the usual ? mark is displayed in any bibliography entry. Second, the example figure is not displayed properly. :I am not a tex expert and I will appreciate any help on this matter. I include part of the output (at the prompt) that I am obtaining. : :Many Thanks, :------------------------------------------------------ : :C:\sjtemp>latex main :This is TeX, Version 3.141592 (MiKTeX 2.3) :(main.tex :LaTeX2e <2001/06/01> :Babel <v3.7h> and hyphenation patterns for english, french, german, ngerman, du :mylang, nohyphenation, loaded. :(sj.cls :Document Class: sj 2003/03/26 v1.19 Stata Journal document class :(C:\texmf\tex\latex\base\book.cls :Document Class: book 2001/04/21 v1.4e Standard LaTeX document class :(C:\texmf\tex\latex\base\bk10.clo)) (C:\texmf\tex\latex\tools\calc.sty) :(C:\texmf\tex\latex\base\ifthen.sty) (crop.sty) : :LaTeX Warning: You have requested, on input line 114, version : `1999/05/15' of package crop, : but only version : `1999/03/07 v1.3 cropmarks (mf)' : is available. : :(natbib.sty) (chapterbib.sty)) (C:\texmf\tex\latex\graphics\epsfig.sty :(C:\texmf\tex\latex\graphics\graphicx.sty :(C:\texmf\tex\latex\graphics\keyval.sty) :(C:\texmf\tex\latex\graphics\graphics.sty (C:\texmf\tex\latex\graphics\trig.sty :) (C:\texmf\tex\latex\00miktex\graphics.cfg) :(C:\texmf\tex\latex\graphics\dvips.def)))) (stata.sty :(C:\texmf\tex\latex\base\alltt.sty) : :Package stata Warning: Using cmtt8 font for stlog environment.
