You're right, I was erronous in that.
Furthermore, Nick already gave you an answer that I could not have come up 
with within the next 2 years. :-)  Take a look also at his regular column 
in the Stata Journal, especially the last one on the use of foreach, 
forvalues etc. which might be helpful.
