If you are willing to work outside Stata, you might try going to gslib.com 
for software that can be downloaded.
See the book by Deutsch and Journel.
If you prefer to work within a stat package, Lee Wilkinson incorporated 
gslib routines into Systat, which  can be obtained cheaply these days.
