st: Gap in Variable Review Window

I enjoy seeing variable labels in the variable (review) window. But the
spacing between a (usually 8 char) variable name its corresponding label is
too large. The upshot is I have to have a wide variable review window to see
both varnames and labels. Seems excessive. Can I reduce the space/gap
between varname and varlabel? I run Stata/SE 8.0 on a Win2k machine.
Couldn't find anything helpful with Findit or FAQs.
