st: Stata 7 for Unix!

Subject	st: Stata 7 for Unix!

Have installed Stata 7.0 Intercooled for UNIX. The installation was just O.K. When I try to run "stinit" to enter license data bash says it is not a valid executable. What can I do? I'm using Linux with glibc.
