2008 UK Stata Users Group meeting

First announcement and call for presentations

Dates: Monday, September 8 and Tuesday, September 9, 2008
Venue: Cass Business School

Cost: £75.00 for both days;
£50 for one day
(There are reduced rates for paper presenters; see below)

The London meeting is the longest-running series of Stata user meetings. The meeting is open to all interested. In past years participants were from Britain, Ireland, other European countries, the United States, and Australia. StataCorp will be represented.

Presentation topics might include

Please email the scientific organizers if you are interested, indicating whether you wish to give

  1. a 20-minute talk (followed by a 10-minute discussion),
  2. a 10-minute talk (followed by a 5-minute discussion), or
  3. a longer review or tutorial (about an hour).

Contact the scientific organizers if you have questions regarding the suitability of a potential contribution.

The meeting will include the usual “Wishes and grumbles” session, at which you may air your thoughts to Stata developers, and (at additional cost) the option of an informal meal at a London restaurant on Monday evening.

The program will be announced later.

By British standards, London is usually relatively dry and warm in September.
