Call for papers
The first Mexican Stata Users Group meeting will be held in Mexico City at the Universidad
Iberoamericana (www.uia.mx/). The meeting is
open to all interested, either from Mexico or abroad.
StataCorp will be represented.
Organizers of this event encourage submissions on any topic related to the
use of Stata, such as the following:
- discussion of user-written Stata programs
- case studies of research or teaching using Stata
- discussions of data-management problems
- reviews of analytical issues
- surveys or critiques of Stata facilities in specific fields
Please email a member of the scientific committee if you are
interested, and indicate whether you wish to give
- a 20-minute talk (with a 10-minute discussion), or
- a 45-minute talk (with a 15-minute discussion).
Contact the scientific committee
if you have questions regarding the
suitability of a potential contribution. Talks must be approved by the
scientific committee.
The meeting will include the usual “Wishes and grumbles” session
where you may air your thoughts to Stata developers.
The program will be announced in February 2009.

Language

Torre Mayor in Mexico City
The meeting will be bilingual with no translations of any kind.
Presentations can be delivered in either English or Spanish according to the
preference of the presenter.
Registration
MultiON Consulting will generously sponsor registration fee waivers for
talks (one fee waiver per talk, regardless of the number of
authors involved).
