The London meeting is the longest-running series of Stata users
meetings. The meeting is open to all interested (in past years
participants were from Britain, Ireland, other European countries,
USA, and Australia). StataCorp will be represented.
Presentations are sought on topics that include:
- user-written Stata programs,
- case studies of research or teaching using Stata,
- discussions of data management problems,
- reviews of analytical issues,
- surveys or critiques of Stata facilities in specific fields, etc.
In addition to the usual type of presentation, we are actively
seeking more talks with a tutorial flavour, together with longer
"review" papers. Please email the organisers if you are interested
in giving a presentation, indicating whether you wish to give:
(i) a 20 min talk (followed by 10 min discussion),
(ii) a 10 min talk (5 min discussion), or
(iii) a longer review or tutorial.
The meeting will include the usual 'wishes and grumbles'
session at which you may air your thoughts to Stata developers,
and (at additional cost) an informal meal at a London restaurant
on Tuesday evening.
Timberlake Consultants will sponsor registration fee waivers
for presentations (1 fee waiver per presentation, regardless
of number of authors involved).
We look forward to hearing from you with presentation offers,
or to discuss the suitability of a potential contribution.
Confirmation of the programme, cost and venue, and details
of how to register will be circulated in February 2005.
Please contact the organisers before 31 January 2005.
